Himalayan Trout

Himalayan Trout is the largest formal organization associated with trout in Pakistan. We pisciculture rainbow and brown trout in fresh glacier melted natural water in different Northern and KPK regions of Pakistan. Our production outlets are at the banks of Kunhar, Siren and Swat rivers.

In 2000, trout farming was started at a small scale which got expanded from Swat to Manshra in 2019. With the collaboration of the government during 2020 the number of farms increased, and for the first time in Pakistan's history, a trout export plan was developed. HT is honored to be the first formal trout exporting company in 2021.

Our History

Tour De Trout Form

It is another signature service of HT, trouters [term introduced by HT, means trout hunters] are hosted at our farms. Using fish tackle, they can do fishing through Hand-gathering, Spearfishing, and angling techniques. This service includes a 1-7 days regional tour, including hunting trout, cooking, and hiking.

Himalayan Trout

Our ancestors got associated with Trout hunting in 1923 in Swat valley as a hobby and later in 1952 local level commercialization was started using barter exchange mechanism of river-based trout. Till 1999 family was meeting the personal and family requirements of trout and then in 2000 trout farming was started on a small scale which got expanded from Swat to Mansehra in 2019. With the collaboration of the government during 2020, the number of farms increased, and first time in the history of Pakistan a trout export plan was developed, and HT is honored to be the first formal trout exporting company in the year 2021.

At Himalayan Trout, after proper cleaning trout is packed for 10, 20, 30, 40 kgs weight into thermocol boxes along with appro quanpriatetity of crushed ice for the wholesale deliveries. While retail fish boxes carry 2 to 5 kgs weight.

Transportation

HT’s small and medium-sized colling vans carry Freezer Boxes that can transport 1-10 tons of weight. These trucks are designed to sustain the internal standard quality ranging from [+10 to -10] degree centigrade, an ideal temperature to preserve Trout fish.
